Shipping Estimates
Shipping charges displayed during checkout, included in quotations, or listed on invoices are estimates unless expressly stated in writing as a fixed shipping rate.
Due to the size, weight, value, and specialized packaging requirements of custom engines, engine components, and performance parts, actual shipping costs may vary from the original estimate.
Additional Shipping Charges
The Customer agrees to pay any additional shipping charges incurred after the order is processed if the actual cost of shipping exceeds the estimated amount collected during checkout or quoted at the time of purchase.
Additional charges may result from, but are not limited to:
-
Freight carrier rate increases
-
Oversized or overweight shipments
-
Residential delivery fees
-
Liftgate service
-
Limited access delivery locations
-
Inside delivery requests
-
Fuel surcharges
-
Shipping insurance
-
Remote or extended service area fees
-
Address corrections
-
International duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or customs charges
-
Changes in packaging requirements to protect the shipment
Payment of Additional Shipping Costs
If the final shipping cost exceeds the amount previously collected, the Customer agrees to pay the remaining balance before the order is released for shipment.
The Builder reserves the right to delay shipment until all outstanding shipping charges have been paid in full.
Refusal to Pay Additional Shipping Charges
If the Customer refuses to pay the additional shipping charges:
-
Shipment may be delayed or cancelled.
-
Storage fees may accrue on completed engines or products.
-
Any cancellation will be subject to the Company's cancellation and return policies.
-
The Customer remains responsible for all costs incurred, including packaging, freight preparation, storage, and administrative expenses.
Freight Damage
Customers are responsible for inspecting all shipments immediately upon delivery.
Any visible damage must be noted on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.
Hidden damage must be reported to both the shipping carrier and the Company within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.
Failure to report freight damage within the required time may affect the Customer's ability to recover damages from the carrier.
Shipping Delays
The Company is not responsible for shipping delays caused by freight carriers, weather, labor disputes, customs inspections, acts of God, government actions, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Estimated transit times provided by the carrier are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Customer Agreement
By placing an order, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that shipping costs are estimates unless otherwise stated in writing and accepts responsibility for any additional shipping charges necessary to complete delivery. The Customer authorizes the Company to invoice such additional shipping costs and agrees that shipment may be withheld until those charges are paid in full.
